The Chelsea High School softball team defeated Oak Grove 9-4 in high school softball action March 3.

The Hornets (2-4) raced out to a 7-1 lead after the fifth inning and racked up 14 hits in the win.

Morgan Pitts led Chelsea at the plate as she finished 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored.

Alex Osborn went 3-for-4 and scored a run.

Joslyn Johnston finished 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored. Amber McCarty finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Osborn picked up the win in the circle after giving up three earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts and three walks in a complete game.
