The Pelham High School girls’ tennis team defeated Tuscaloosa County 8-1 in a high school tennis match March 3.

The Panthers won five of the six singles’ matches and all three doubles’ matches against Tuscaloosa County.

Sidney Garner of Pelham defeated Taylor Hughes of Tuscaloosa County 10-1 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Katie Kema of Pelham defeated Sarah McDonald of Tuscaloosa County 10-0 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Brooke Cole of Pelham defeated Macy Smithson of Tuscaloosa County 10-1 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Kathryn White of Pelham defeated Sarah Potts of Tuscaloosa County 10-4 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

The Panthers’ Leanna Cocke defeated Sinclair Gibson of Tuscaloosa County 10-4 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Tuscaloosa County’s Caitlyn Pennington recorded the Wildcats’ lone victory with her 10-0 win over Elizabeth Hartzog of Pelham in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Garner and Kema defeated Hughes and Potts 10-6 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. White and Cocke defeated Smithson and Pennington 10-3 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Cole and Hartzog fell to McDonald and GIbson 10-1 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.

BOYS

The Pelham High School boys’ tennis team defeated Tuscaloosa County 9-0 in a high school tennis match March 3.

The Panthers swept all six singles’ matches and all three doubles’ matches against Tuscaloosa County.

Jim Flaniken of Pelham defeated Luke Lollar of Tuscaloosa County 10-0 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Trevor Tucker of Pelham defeated Dustin Bybee of Tuscaloosa County 10-0 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Pelham’s Peyton Davis defeated Adam Pisansky of Tuscaloosa County 10-5 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Taylor Honeycutt of Pelham defeated Hunter Ford of Tuscaloosa County 10-3 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Jacob Dolinger of Pelham defeated Seth Green of Tuscaloosa County 10-0 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Christian Holly of Pelham defeated Will Bowar of Tuscaloosa County 10-2 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Flaniken and Tucker defeated Lollar and Bybee 10-0 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Davis and Honeycutt defeated Pisansky and Ford 10-2 in the No.  2 doubles’ match.

Dolinger and Anthony DeLeonard of Pelham defeated Green and Jordan Harris of Tuscaloosa County 10-2 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
