The Kingwood Christian School softball team swept Willow Academy and Marino Academy in a doubleheader March 4 in the Patrician Academy tournament.

The March 5 schedule of games were cancelled due to rain.

The Lions (10-0) defeated Willow Academy 7-1 in the doubleheader.

Erin Jones led Kingwood Christian at the plate as she finished 3-for-3 with a grand-slam home run.

Madeline Lee also homered in the victory. Whitney Gillespie and Karley Chamblee each had a double.

Lee picked up the win in the circle after giving up four hits with four strikeouts in a five-inning complete game.

Kingwood Christian defeated Marino Academy 5-0 in the nightcap.

Jones belted a two-run homer in the victory.

Kaylee Morris finished with a two-run single. Chamblee and Blair Holsombeck each had a single.

Gillespie picked up the win on the circle after giving up two hits with six strikeouts in a five-inning complete game.
