Hope Christian swept in baseball doubleheader

The Hope Christian School baseball team dropped a doubleheader March 8 with First Assembly Christian School.

The Eagles (0-4) fell to First Assembly 13-0 in the opener.

Daniel Clark and Kaleb Arnold recorded one hit each for Hope Christian in the defeat.

Matthew Hyde took the loss on the mound after allowing six earned runs on six hits with six strikeouts and three walks in four innings.

First Assembly edged Hope Christian 8-6 in the nightcap.

Christopher Hale led Hope Christian at the plate as he finished 2-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Hyde finished with a triple. Kenneth Norris finished with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Andrew Hale and Josh Arnold each scored a run.

Tyler Hickman took the loss on the mound after giving up five earned runs on four hits with seven strikeouts and two walks in three innings.
