Montevallo women drop match against BYU-Hawaii

The University of Montevallo women’s tennis team fell to BYU-Hawaii 6-0 in a match March 8.

The Falcons dropped three singles’ matches and three doubles’ matches against BYU-Hawaii.

Amy McGucken and Yulia Shvetsova teamed up to win the lone single game for the Falcons. McGucken and Shvetsova fell to Sophia Simmons and Kayln Bristol 8-1 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.

Calli Robinson, Kodi Bobo and Shvetsova each dropped their singles’ matches. Helene Nordgreen and Robinson dropped the No. 1 doubles’ match. Kayla Hackett, a Chelsea graduate, and Bobi dropped the No. 2 doubles’ match.

The singles’ matches for Nordgreen, Hackett and McGucken went unfinished due to inclement weather.
