Chelsea defeats Sylacauga in tennis match

The Chelsea High School girls’ tennis team defeated Sylacauga 6-3 in a high school tennis match March 10.

The Hornets won four singles’ matches and two doubles’ matches against Sylacauga.

Shannon Reilly of Chelsea defeated Lauren Potts of Sylacauga 8-3 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Natalie Foster of Chelsea defeated Madeline Potts of Sylacauga 8-2 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Audrey Vickers of Chelsea defeated Amelia Landers of Sylacauga 8-2 in the No. 5 singles’ matches. Sharon Foster of Chelsea defeated Amber Holloway of Sylacauga 8-2 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Kaylee Dismuke of Chelsea fell to Raley Usrey of Sylacauga 8-1 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Lindsey Kate Glausier of Chelsea fell to Kathleen Giddens of Sylacauga 8-3 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Glausier and Vickers defeated Lauren and Madeline Potts 8-1 in the No. 2 doubles’ match. Natalie Foster and Sharon Foster won the No. 3 doubles’ match.

Dismuke and Reilly fell to Usrey and GIddens 8-6 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.

BOYS

The Chelsea High School boys’ tennis team fell to Sylacauga 9-0 in a high school tennis match March 10.

The Hornets dropped all six singles’ matches and all three doubles’ matches against Sylacauga.

Michael Guo of Chelsea fell to Jonathan Vick of Sylacauga 10-2 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Andrew Ling of Chelsea fell to Nathanell Killough 10-5 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Alex Gamble of Chelsea fell to Will Killough of Sylacauga 10-5 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Corey Foshee of Chelsea fell to Andrew Collins of Sylacauga 10-5 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Zach Hayworth of Chelsea fell to Tyler Mitchell of Sylacauga 8-0 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Logan Brady of Chelsea fell to Collin Minor of Sylacauga 10-0 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Guo and Ling fell to Vick and Collins 10-0 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Gamble and Foshee fell to Nathanell Killough and Mitchell 10-5 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Hayworth and Brady fell to Will Killough and Kimber 10-1 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
