The Coosa Valley Academy baseball team defeated Bessemer Academy 9-5 in high school baseball action March 10.

Saxon Grimes led the Rebels (14-2) at the plate as he finished with a two hits, including a three-run homer.

Garrett McMillan finished with one hit and two RBIs. Hunter Roe added two hits and drove in a run. Hunter Winslett finished with two hits.

Stephen Cryer and John Bullen, who stole four bases, finished with one hit each.

Daniel Kennedy (3-0) picked up the win on the mound after giving up five runs, including one earned run, with four strikeouts in a complete game.
