Oak Mountain defeats Hewitt-Trussville in tennis match

The Oak Mountain High School boys’ tennis team defeated Hewitt-Trussville 8-1 in a high school tennis match March 10.

The Eagles (4-4) won five of the six singles’ matches and all three doubles’ matches against Hewitt-Trussville.

Preston Touliatos of Oak Mountain defeated Carter Williams of Hewitt-Trussville 8-5 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Kyle Ehlers of Oak Mountain defeated Trent Hollis of Hewitt-Trussville 8-6 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Thomas Mason of Oak Mountain fell to Grant Wright of Hewitt-Trussville 8-4 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Hunter Dodson of Oak Mountain fell to Noah Tippen of Hewitt-Trussville 8-2 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Jake Marinelli of Oak Mountain defeated Cory Higgenbotham of Hewitt-Trussville 8-5 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Mark Newton of Oak Mountain defeated Mitchell Hester of Hewitt-Trussville 8-0 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Touliatos and Ehlers defeated Williams and Hollis 9-7 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Mason and Marinelli defeated Wright and Tippen 8-3 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Dodson and Newton defeated Higginbotham and Patrick Young of Hewitt-Trussville 8-6 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
