Oak Mountain splits doubleheader with Pell City

The Oak Mountain High School baseball team split a doubleheader with Pell City in high school baseball action March 12.

The Eagles (8-4) jumped out to a 1-0 lead after the first inning before Pell City made a comeback in the opening game. Pell City clinched the victory with six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Richard Greene led Oak Mountain at the plate as he finished 2-for-3. David Dahl added a double.

Robby Clements took the loss on the mound after giving up three earned runs on nine hits with three strikeouts and two walks in five innings.

Oak Mountain defeated Pell City 13-7 in the nightcap.

Sam Knotts led the Eagles at the plate as he finished 4-for-5 in the victory.

Dahl, John David (J.D.) Crowe and Jake Hubbard finished with three hits each in the victory.
