The University of Montevallo men’s golf team finished 11th in a field of 20 teams March 12-13 at the Tusculum Invitational at Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn.

The Falcons were the only Peach Belt Conference team at the event but finished ahead of three Southeast Region teams, including King, Brevard and Mars Hill.

Tusculum won the event, while Lincoln Memorial finished three strokes back in second place. Montevallo competed with just four golfers so every score counted throughout the tournament.

The Falcons were led by junior Aaron Ebert, who finished tied for 19th overall with a two-round score of 5-over par 147.

Junior Gonzalo Gambertoglio was just one stroke back from Ebert with a 148. Gambertoglio finished tied for 24th overall. Sophomore Mariano Lepori tied for 54th overall with a score of 153. Freshman Sindre Rambjor rounded out the team with a 59th-place finish and a score of 154.
