The Oak Mountain High School baseball team defeated Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa 4-2 in its opening game of the Buccaneer Classic on March 14 at Hoover High School.

John David (J.D.) Crowe led the Eagles (9-4) at the plate as he finished 2-for-3 with two singles.

Heath Quinn finished 1-for-1 with a solo home run. Sam Knotts went 1-for-3 with a double and drove in two runs.

Jake Hubbard picked up the win on the mound after giving up two runs, including one earned run, with 10 strikeouts and two walks in a complete game.
