The Spain Park High School softball team swept a tripleheader March 14 on the opening day of a tournament in Gulf Shores.

The Jaguars defeated Cherokee County, Cordova and Davidson Academy (Tenn.) in the tournament.

Spain Park edged Cherokee County 3-2 in its opener.

Erin Hornsby led the Jaguars at the plate with a two-run homer.

April Scott had an RBI triple. Casey Craig finished with a double. Caroline Holmes, Hannah Camp and Elizabeth Ballew added a single each.

Channing Haynes picked up the win in the circle.

The Jaguars defeated Cordova 8-1 in the tournament.

Hornsby led Spain Park at the plate with two singles.

Camp added an RBI double and a single. Mary Kathryn Bonamy finished with an RBI double.

Holmes and Brittany Anderson each had an RBI single.

Julie Knight picked up the win in the circle.

The Jaguars capped the day with a 4-1 win over Davidson Academy.

Craig led the Jaguars at the plate with a two-run triple. Camp also drove in a run.

Haynes earned the win in the circle.
