The Coosa Valley Academy baseball team defeated Evangel Christian School of Montgomery 16-3 in high school baseball action March 21.

Hunter Roe led the Rebels (20-2) at the plate as he finished with three hits, including a triple, and drove in two runs.

Jarrod Mims finished with three hits, including a double, and drove in three runs. Garrett McMillan finished with a double and drove in two runs. Cody Wood and Saxon Grimes each finished with a double and drove in a run. John Bullen, Hunter Winslett and Landon Floyd each added a hit and drove in a run.

Joey Treadwell recorded a double. Cody Garrett and Myles Varner finished with a hit. Stephen Cryer and Kyle Batson drove in one run each.

Nick Bates (4-0) picked up the win on the mound after giving up two runs on two hits with four strikeouts in two innings.
