The Kingwood Christian School softball team swept a doubleheader with Pickens Academy in high school softball action March 21.

Kingwood Christian defeated Pickens Academy 10-2 in the opener.

Jordan Gray led the Lions (20-1) at the plate as she finished 4-for-5. Gray scored three runs and drove in one run. Madeline Lee finished 2-for-4.

Kaylyn Ingram earned the win in the circle after giving up two runs on six hits with seven strikeouts in a complete game.

The Lions defeated Pickens Academy 12-4 in the nightcap.

Ingram and Lee led Kingwood Christian at the plate with three hits each. Whitney Gillespie, Karley Chamblee and Kaylee Morris finished with two hits each.

Lee earned the win in the circle after giving up four runs with nine strikeouts in four innings. Gillespie struck out two batters without giving up a hit in two innings in relief.
