Briarwood Christian sweeps Chelsea in tennis match

The Briarwood Christian School boys’ tennis team defeated Chelsea 9-0 in high school tennis action March 24.

The Lions swept all six singles’ matches and all three doubles’ matches against Chelsea.

Matt Nichols of Briarwood Christian defeated Michael Guo of Chelsea 10-0 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Griffin Russell of Briarwood Christian defeated Andrew Ling of Chelsea 10-2 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Taylor Brewton of Briarwood Christian defeated Alex Gamble of Chelsea 8-3 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Russell Hancock of Briarwood Christian defeated Corey Foshee of Chelsea 10-0 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Philip Taylor of Briarwood Christian defeated Zach Haworth of Chelsea 10-0 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Devin Bowman of Briarwood Christian defeated Logan Brady of Chelsea 8-0 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Nichols and Brewton defeated Guo and Ling 10-2 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Russell and Bowman defeated Gamble and Foshee 10-3 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Taylor and Hancock defeated Haworth and Brady 10-1 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.

GIRLS

Holly Brazeal of Briarwood Christian defeated Kate Reilly of Chelsea 8-2 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Catherine Jordan of Briarwood Christian defeated Natalie Foster of Chelsea 10-0 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Olivia Odom of Briarwood Christian defeated Audrey Vickers of Chelsea 8-0 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Lauren Bowers of Briarwood Christian defeated Sharon Foster of Chelsea 8-0 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Combs and Susan Jordan defeated Dismuke and Reilly 10-0 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Brazeal and Odom defeated Glausier and Vickers 10-1 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.
