The Briarwood Christian School girls’ soccer team defeated Gardendale 5-1 in the Metro tournament March 24.

Cat Cowen led the Lions (7-4-2) with three goals in the victory.

Sarah Drew Mulvaney finished with one goal and two assists. Casey Holliman added one goal.

Ally Jennings and Marie Tucker finished with one assist each. Briarwood Christian goalkeeper Anna Handlin recorded two saves in the match.
