Chelsea falls to Oak Mountain in softball tournament

The Chelsea High School softball team fell to Oak Mountain 10-9 in the Vestavia Hills softball tournament March 26.

The Eagles scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to clinch the victory.

Alex Osborn led the Hornets at the plate as she went 2-for-4 and scored two runs.

Allie Luster finished 1-for-1 and drove in a run. Kacie Craft, who drove in two runs and scored one run, went 1-for-3. Amanda Mock, who drove in one run and scored one run, finished 2-for-2. Carley Toretta finished 1-for-3, drove in three runs and scored one run.

Bice started in the circle and gave up eight earned runs on nine with two talks in 5 2/3 innings. Morgan Pence took the loss after giving one earned run on two hits in the final 1/3 of an inning.
