Mrs. Cross is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Cross; a daughter, Margaret Karrh; a son, Douglas Cross; a granddaughter, Mitzi Morris Sasser; and a grandson, Christopher Cross. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Jordan (Bill) of Birmingham and Connie Morris (Charlie) of Wilsonville and by her sons, Jerry Cross (Karen) of Birmingham and Don Cross (Ina) of Calera. She is survived by a sister, Johnnie Edwards of Gadsden. Mrs. Cross has 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Her life was filled with faith in God and love for her family. The world calls them “in-laws,” but Mrs. Cross loved her children’s spouses as if they were her own children. The family marveled at how she lived out her faith in God; how hard she worked for her family; and how each of her children felt they were her favorite. Her legacy of faith in God lives on in her children and her children’s children. Her family members gives pause to remember and to thank God for His gift of their Mother and Grandmother. Lois Cross is more than a memory; she is a living presence in her family’s lives. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Columbiana United Methodist Church Building Fund or your favorite charity.
