Oak Mountain falls to Albertville in softball tournament

The Oak Mountain High School softball team fell to Albertville 3-0 in the Vestavia Hills softball tournament March 26.

Hannah Griffin led the Eagles at the plate as she finished 2-for-3.

Maddie Ridgeway went 1-for-4. Caroline Seitz went 1-for-3. Anne Thomaston finished 3-for-3.

Leah Reeve took the loss on the mound after giving up one earned run on seven hits with five strikeouts in a five-inning complete game.

Oak Mountain defeated Chelsea 10-9 in the tournament.

Ridgeway finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Griffin went 1-for-4 and scored a run. Seitz finished 2-for-4, drove in four runs and scored two runs.

Reeve went 1-for-4 and drove in a run. Nicole Kehr finished 1-for-2. Kailey Boone finished 2-for-4, drove in a run and scored a run. Haley Thomaston finished 1-for-4 and scored two runs. Hannah Asprodites went 1-for-4, drove in two runs and scored one run.

Reeve earned the win after giving up one run with one strikeout in 2 2/3 innings.

Oak Mountain defeated Enterprise 6-0 in the tournament.

Ridgeway finished 2-for-4 and scored a run.

Griffin went 1-for-4 and scored a run. Seitz finished 1-for-4. Reeve went 1-for-2, drove in a run and scored a run. Kehr finished 2-for-3 and drove in a run.

Haley Thomaston finished 3-for-3 and drove in a run. Ann Thomaston went 1-for-3 and drove in two runs. Kendall Jonseof drove in one run.

Kehr gave up two hits with three strikeouts in a six-inning complete game.

The Eagles fell to Haleyville 6-5 in the tournament.

Ridgeway finished 3-for-4 and drove in a run.

Griffin finished 2-for-3. Seitz went 3-for-4 and scored two runs. Boone finished 2-or-3, drove in two runs and scored two runs.

Thomaston took the loss after giving up two earned run son four hits in 4 1/3 innings with one strikeout.
