The Montevallo High School baseball team fell to Hale County 7-6 following a walk-off hit in a Class 3A, Area 7 contest March 28.

Zack Smith led the Bulldogs (8-8 overall, 0-3 in Class 3A, Area 7) at the plate as he finished 3-for-3 with a solo home run.

Trevor Chatham finished 1-for-3 and drove in two runs. Connor Goggins went 1-for-3 and drove in one run.

Trevor Chatham started on the mound and pitched 3 1/3 innings. Taylor Burr took the loss in relief.
