Betty Jane Genry went home on Sunday, March 20, 2011, to be with her Lord.

Mrs. Genry was predeceased in death by her husband of 62 years, Edwin Perry Genry; son, David Wayne Genry; mother, Wilma Dawkins; father, Alvie Dawkins; sister, Mae Harrell; and brother, Charles Dawkins. She is survived by her son, Ronald Genry (Joyce); grandsons, John David Genry (Jessica), Jason Clinkscales (Catherine) and Gary Clinkscales Jr.; great-grandchildren, Anna and Sean Clinkscales; sisters, Doris Brown, Nell Nelson (Hilton), Faye Grizzell (Edsell), Carolyn Jones (Carroll) and Linda Phillips (Wayne); brothers, Bruce Dawkins (Jean), Donald Dawkins (Landa) and Edwin Dawkins (LouAnn); plus a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 21, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. at Charter Funeral Home. The funeral services were held at Hickory Hills Church at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22. Reverend Andy Cummins and Dr. Donnell Brown officiated. Burial was in Ryan Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hickory Hills Church. Arrangements were under the direction of Charter Funeral Home.
