Briarwood Christian defeats Leeds

The Briarwood Christian School baseball team defeated Leeds 14-2 in high school baseball action March 29.

Daniel Robert led the Lions at the plate as he finished 3-for-3 with a grand-slam home run and a double. Robert drove in five runs and scored two runs in the victory.

Ben Craft finished 1-for-2 with a double and drove in two runs. Harrison Foster, who drove in two runs and scored one run, went 1-for-1 at the plate. Micah Hooper, who drove in one run and scored one run, finished 1-for-2 at the plate. Carter Tyra, who drove in one run and scored three runs, went 1-for-1 at the plate.

Sam Morris finished 1-for-1 and drove in a run. Logan Crook went 1-for-1 and scored two runs. Taylor Core finished 1-for-2 at the plate. Matthew Furuto, Cole Pearson, Robby Hale and Nathan Fincher scored one run each in the victory.

Briarwood Christian used four pitchers in the victory.

Crook started on the mound and earned the win after striking out four batters in one inning on the mound. One Leeds batter reached after a strikeout.

Hooper allowed only one hit with two strikeouts in two innings. Robert gave up one hit with three strikeouts in one inning. Cameron Adams gave up two unearned runs with three strikeouts in one inning.
