Cornerstone Christian softball defeats Coosa Valley

The Cornerstone Christian School softball team defeated Coosa Valley Academy 16-6 in high school softball action March 29.

Destiny Dillard led the Chargers at the plate as she finished 4-for-4 with a triple and a double. Dillard drove in three runs and scored two runs in the victory.

Lorin Rogers, who drove in two runs and scored three runs, finished 3-for-4 at the plate.

Jana Kelbie Armstrong earned the win in the circle after giving up three earned runs on six hits with nine strikeouts and two walks in a complete game.

Amelia Ripley led Coosa Valley at the plate as she finished 3-for-3 and drove in a run. Haley Myrick finished 2-for-3 with a double and scored two runs.

Hannah Vick took the loss in the circle after giving up 10 earned runs on 13 hits with four strikeouts and three walks in five innings.
