The Pelham High School boys’ soccer team defeated Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa 3-2 in a Class 6A, Section 6 match March 29.

Alex Diaz led the Panthers (7-10-1 overall, 5-2 in Class 6A, Section 6) with two goals.

Oscar Pineda scored the only other goal for Pelham. Pelham goalkeeper recorded four saves in the match.

GIRLS

The Pelham High School girls’ soccer team defeated Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa 3-2 in a Class 6A, Section 6 match March 29.

Ashley Gardner led the Panthers (10-5 overall, 5-1 in Class 6A, Section 6) with a goal and an assist in the victory.

Natalia Alcaino and Meagan Comer scored one goal each. Cassie Shiflett recorded an assist.

Pelham goalkeeper Selina Delgadillo finished with seven saves.
