The Thompson High School girls’ tennis team edged Oak Mountain 5-4 in a high school tennis match March 29.

The Warriors won five of of the six singles’ matches against Oak Mountain.

Laura Harwell of Thompson defeated Katie Gould of Oak Mountain 8-5 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Maria Siow of Thompson defeated Rian Imwalle of Oak Mountain 8-4 in the No. 3 singles’ match.

Victoria Killingsworth of Thompson defeated Samantha Fredrick of Oak Mountain 8-3 in the No. 4 singles’ match. Maci Hendrix of Thompson defeated Anna Manning of Oak Mountain 9-8 in the No. 5 singles’ match.

Olivia Sorrell of Thompson defeated Mary Catherine Touliatos of Oak Mountain 8-4 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Oak Mountain won one singles’ match and all three doubles’ matches against Thompson.

Ashley Ochsenhirt of Oak Mountain defeated Erin Hutter of Thompson 8-0 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Gould and Imwalle defeated Hutter and Siow 8-6 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Ochsenhirt and Fredrick defeated Harwell and Killingsworth 8-6 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Manning and Touliatos defeated Hendrix and Sorrell 8-6 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
