The Briarwood Christian School softball team dropped a doubleheader with Chilton County in high school softball action March 31.

The Lions (4-4) fell to Chilton County 11-0 in the opener.

Ashlyn Boyd led Briarwood Christian as she finished 1-for-2 at the plate. Rachel Walz took the loss in the circle after giving up eight earned runs on six hits with six walks in a five-inning complete game.

Briarwood Christian fell to Chilton County 12-2 in the nightcap.

Boyd led the Lions at the plate as she finished 2-for-3 and drove in two runs.

Linley Splawn took the loss in the circle after giving up five earned runs on five hits with one strikeout and seven walks in 5 2/3 innings.
