Oak Mountain tops Hoover in tennis match

The Oak Mountain High School boys’ tennis team defeated Hoover 7-2 in a high school tennis match March 31.

The Eagles (6-5) won four singles’ matches and swept all three doubles’ matches.

Preston Touliatos of Oak Mountain defeated Christian Lyerly of Hoover 10-6 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Andriy Naavhust of Oak Mountain defeated Brandon Bowlin of Hoover 10-7 in the No. 3 singles’ match.

Hunter Dodson of Oak Mountain defeated Balark Chethan of Hoover 11-9 in the No. 4 singles’ match. Jake Marinelli of Oak Mountain defeated Michael Maynard of Hoover 10-6 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Touliatos and Kyle Ehlers of Oak Mountain defeated Lyerly and Haden Clowers 10-4 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Naavhust and Marinelli defeated Bowlin and Tripp White of Hoover 10-3 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Dodson and Mark Newton of Oak Mountain defeated Chethan and Raj Patel of Hoover 10-7 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
