The Oak Mountain High School girls’ soccer team defeated Vestavia Hills 1-0 in a Class 6A, Section 5 match April 1.

Vicki Hill scored the lone goal, which was assisted by Daniella Munoz, for the Eagles (12-2 overall, 5-1 in Class 6A, Section 5) in the 75th minute of the contest.

Oak Mountain goalkeeper Jill Hester posted four saves in the shutout.

BOYS

The Oak Mountain High School boys’ soccer team fell to Vestavia Hills 1-0 in a Class 6A, Section 5 match April 1.

The Eagles fell to the Rebels in the 12th round of penalty kicks following a scoreless tie between the two teams at the end of regulation.
