The Briarwood Christian School baseball team defeated Talladega 16-1 in a Class 5A, Area 7 contest April 5.

Harrison Foster finished 1-for-2 with a home run. Foster drove in two runs and scored one run in the victory.

Daniel Robert, who drove in two runs and scored two runs, led the Lions at the plate as he finished 1-for-4 with a double. Logan Crook went 2-for-4 and drove in one run. Ben Craft, who drove in one and scored two runs, finished 1-for-2 at the plate. Micah Hooper, who drove in one run and scored three runs, finished 1-for-1 at the plate. Dan Thomas went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.

Carter Tyra drove in one run. Matthew Furuto and Cole Pearson scored two runs each. Robby Hale, Kevin McKelvey and Tyra scored one run each.

Crook earned the win on the mound after giving up one earned run on two hits with five strikeouts and a walk in four innings.

Robert allowed one walk in one inning in relief.
