The Pelham High School softball team defeated Oak Mountain 3-0 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Area 10 contest April 7.

The Panthers (15-7) scored a single run in the first, third and fifth innings in the victory.

Becky Fox led Pelham at the plate as she finished 2-for-3 and drove in a run.

Erin Whitman went 2-for-3 at the plate and scored a run. Heather McGuirk finished 1-for-2 at the plate and drove in a run.

Mary Morgan Dramer went 1-for-4 at the plate with a double and scored a run. Jessie Breland finished 1-for-3 with a double and drove in a run.

Kristian Foster went 1-for-2 at the plate. Caitlyn Sapp scored one run.

Emily Spain (6-1) earned the win in the circle after giving up seven hits with five strikeouts in a complete game.

Caroline Seitz led Oak Mountain at the plate as she finished 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Kailey Boone went 2-for-3 at the plate. Anne Thomaston, Kendall Jonseof and Leah Reeve each finished 1-for-3 at the plate.

Anne Thomaston took the loss in the circle after giving up two earned runs on seven hits with four strikeouts and three walks in three innings.

Nicole Kehr gave up one earned run on one hit with three strikeouts and a walk in three innings in relief.
