The Thompson High School girls’ tennis team edged Gulf Shores 5-4 in high school tennis action April 8.

The Warriors won two singles’ matches and swept all three doubles’ matches against Gulf Shores.

Maria Siow of Thompson defeated Sarah Roper of Gulf Shores 10-5 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Maci Hendrix of Thompson defeated Kelsey Bailey of Gulf Shores 10-4 in the No. 5 singles’ match.

Siow and Erin Hunter of Thompson defeated Jacqueline Smith and Kaitlyn Alexander of Gulf Shores 11-9 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Laura Harwell and Victoria Killingsworth of Thompson defeated Chelsey Humphrey and Roper of Gulf Shores 10-4 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Olivia Sorrell and Hendrix of Thompson defeated Lewis and Wilson of Gulf Shores 10-3 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
