Westminster sweeps Shades Mountain in tennis match

The Westminster School at Oak Mountain boys’ tennis team defeated Shades Mountain Christian 9-0 in a high school tennis match April 7.

The Knights swept all six singles’ matches and all three doubles’ matches against Shades Mountain.

Richard Robey of Westminster defeated Dan Courter of Shades Mountain 8-1 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Adam Gurley of Westminster defeated Josiah Moore of Shades Mountain 9-7 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Scott McClure of Westminster defeated Roosevelt Reynolds of Shades Mountain 9-7 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Mark McClure of Westminster defeated Nick Henry of Shades Mountain 8-1 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Jake Doggett of Westminster defeated Cody Watson of Shades Mountain 8-0 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Bobby Skelton of Westminster defeated Steven Reeves of Shades Mountain 8-3 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Robey and Gurley defeated Courter and Moore 8-4 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Scott and Mark McClure defeated Reynolds and Henry 8-2 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Doggett and Skelton defeated Watson and Reeves 8-4 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
