Spain Park downs rival Hoover in tennis match

The Spain Park High School boys’ tennis team defeated rival Hoover 7-2 in high school tennis action April 13.

The Jaguars won five of the six singles’ matches and all three doubles’ matches against the Buccaneers.

Jack Nicholas of Spain Park defeated Christian Lyerly of Hoover in the No. 1 singles’ match. J.C. Moore of Spain Park defeated Hayden Clowers of Hoover 10-1 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Will Hartsock defeated Balark Chethan of Hoover 10-4 in the No. 4 singles’ match. Brit Sovic of Spain Park defeated Eric Kim of Hoover 10-3 in the No. 5 singles’ match.

Nicholas and Moore defeated Lyerly and Clowers 10-2 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Sovic and Keita Ueno of Spain Park defeated Tripp White and Brandon Bowlin of Hoover 10-7 in the No. 2 doubles’ match. Hartsock and Baylor Cocke of Spain Park defeated Raj Patel and Chethan of Hoover 10-2 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
