The Thompson High School softball team defeated Pell City 6-1 in high school softball action April 12.

Sarah Beth Holdbrooks led the Warriors at the plate as she finished 3-for-4 with two doubles. Holdbrooks drove in two runs in the victory.

Sara Beth Watkins finished 1-for-4 at the plate and drove in two runs. Ashleigh Short went 2-for-3 and drove in one run.

Taylor Powell earned the win in the circle after giving up just two hits with nine strikeouts and a walk in four innings.

Rachel Rigney gave up one unearned run on three hits with three strikeouts and two walks in three innings.
