The Chelsea High School baseball team defeated Montevallo 7-4 in high school baseball action April 14.

Jake Campbell led the Hornets at the plate as he finished 2-for-4 with a double. Campbell drove in three runs in the victory.

Eli Bashour finished 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in one run. Drew Kennedy went 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in one run. Alex Dean finished 2-for-3 at the plate.

Dean earned the win on the mound after giving up three earned runs on six hits with eight strikeouts in a complete game.

Dean, who gave up four runs on five hits in the top of the first inning, allowed only one base runner the rest of the game.
