Hope Christian downs rival Evangel Christian in softball

The Hope Christian School softball team defeated rival Evangel Christian School 10-1 in high school softball action April 14.

Ashleigh Callahan led the Eagles at the plate as she finished 4-for-4 with a triple and two doubles. Callahan drove in two runs and scored three runs in the victory.

Tiffany Skinner, who drove in two runs, finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple and a double. Layla Skinner, who scored one run, went 2-for-4 at the plate with a triple. Ashley Vann, who scored two runs, finished 2-for-4 at the plate with a triple. Lindy Walker, who drove in one run and scored one run, finished 2-for-4 at the plate.

Glennleigh Boyd, who drove in one run and scored one run, finished 1-for-4 at the plate. Samantha Rowley went 1-for-4 at the plate and drove in two runs. Ani Hughes finished 1-for-2 at the plate and scored one run. Amanda Rowley scored one run in the victory.

Walker earned the win in the circle after giving up one earned run with six strikeouts and six walks in a complete game.
