The Montevallo High School softball team defeated Maplesville 1-0 in high school softball action April 18.

Mallory Anderson led the Bulldogs (14-10) as she finished 2-for-3 at the plate. Anderson blasted a solo home run in the sixth inning to clinch the victory.

Destiny Upton earned the win in the circle after striking out five batters in a complete game.
