Bennett Bilbrey Bearden, age 86, was a lifelong resident of Vincent until 2004 when he and his wife moved to Calera. Mr. Bearden passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Vincent First Baptist Church with Rev. Darryl Wood and Dr. Lindy Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Vincent City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Bolton Funeral Home.

Mr. Bearden is preceded in death by his father, Charlie Valentine Bearden; mother, Emma Alpha Bearden; brother, Renfro Bearden; and sister, Odessa Lowery. Mr. Bearden is survived by his wife of 61 years, Christine Bearden; sister, Bessie Dyer (Theron); son, Neville Bearden (Rene); daughter, Joyce Genry (Ronnie); son, Theron Bearden (Emily); grandsons, Gary Clinkscales, Jr., Alan Bearden, Jason Clinkscales (Catherine), John David Genry (Jessica), Hunter Bearden and J.T. Bearden; granddaughter, Jennifer Bearden; great-grandchildren, Anna and Sean Clinkscales and Olivia Bearden; and numerous other nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
