Larry “Pop” James Cobb, 67, of Jemison died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.

He was born on Friday, May 7, 1943, and is the son of the late Joseph O. Cobb and Margie Reynolds Cobb.

He was a jack-of-all-trades at Wheeler Wrecker.

Surviving are his mother, Margie Cobb, of Jemison; two daughters, Jeana Huggins (John) of Eclectic and Joely Sears (Andy) of Wetumpka; son, Barry Cobb (Cathy) of Montgomery; grandchildren, Jake (Jessica), Cody, Ivy, Scarlett, Andrew, Maegan and Caleb; and great-grandchild, Jake.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, April 29, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Jemison First Baptist Church with Rev. Rex Kent officiating. Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens, Jemison.
