The Spain Park High School girls’ golf team qualified for an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A sub-state tournament after finishing runner-up in a section tournament April 26 in Auburn.

The Jaguars, who recorded a team score of 260 strokes, finished two strokes back of section winner Auburn.

Lakin Eddy led Spain Park in individual standings as she finished with a 12-over par 84.

Morgan Natale carded an 85. Caroline Gurley finished with a 91. Ashley Gillespie shot a 94.

Oak Mountain, which finished fifth at the section tournament, carded a team total of 348 strokes.

The Eagles were led by Taylor Casebere, who shot a 14-over par 86. Blair Casebere finished with a 92.
