Marshall L. O’Neil, 58, of Birmingham died Monday, April 25, 2011, at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 29 at Memory Chapel in Laurel, Miss. Revs. Gene Horton and Beth Boutwell Foose will officiate. Burial will be in Lake Park Cemetery.

Marshall was a native of Laurel, Miss. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Marshall O’Neil. He is survived by his mother, Ruth Boutwell O’Neil of Laurel, Miss.; his wife, Paula Morse O’Neil of Birmingham; his son, James Marshall O’Neil of Birmingham; and his sister, Robin O’Neil Campbell (John) of Chattanooga, Tenn.

Pallbearers will include Nelson Hamilton, Bo Owens, Neil Valentine and David Weaver.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Friday at Memory Chapel, Laurel, Miss., which is in charge of all arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity.
