The Chelsea High School softball team defeated Benjamin Russell 16-4 in high school softball action April 28.

Alex Osborn led the Hornets (25-13) at the plate as she finished 3-for-5 with two doubles. Osborn drove in five runs and scored three runs in the victory.

Kacie Craft, who drove in three runs and scored two runs, went 3-for-4 with two doubles. Morgan Pence, who drove in three runs and scored three runs, finished 3-for-4 with a double. Caitlin Bice finished 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and scored three runs.

Osborn earned the win in the circle after giving up four earned runs on five hits with three strikeouts and two walks in a five-inning complete game.
