Indian Springs wins three matches at state tennis tournament

The Indian Springs School girls’ tennis team recorded three victories during the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 1A-3A state tennis tournament.

Indian Springs finished ninth overall in team standings in the state tournament.

Erin McMinn of Indian Springs defeated Katie Gray (K.K.) Corlson of Trinity 10-5 in the opening round of the No. 1 singles’ tournament before falling to Hollan Smith of Montgomery Academy 10-4 in the second round.

Ellie Thomson of Indian Springs topped Erin Cosby of Lauderdale County 10-7 in the opening round of the No. 5 singles’ tournament before falling to Sally Barber of Donoho 10-8 in the second round.

Lisa Burgeron of Indian Springs defeated Merrell Bowman of Decatur Heritage 10-2 in the opening round of the No. 6 singles’ tournament before falling to Laura Beth Humphries of Mars Hill 10-4 in the second round.
