University of Montevallo senior Emily Gibson continued play May 2 at the 2011 NCAA Division II Super Regional at The Club at Eaglebrooke.

Gibson shot a 7-over par 79 on day two of the tournament to put her in a four-way tie for 14th overall in individual standings.

Nova Southeastern’s Sandra Changkija leads the tournament with a two-round score of 140. Rollins College teammates Joanna Coe and Fabia Rothenfluh sit in a two-way tie for second with scores of 145. Gibson currently has a score of 153.

Gibson is tied with four golfers for 14th overall, including Maria Luz Besio of Newberry, Marianne Andersson of Florida Southern and Jordan Hatch of St. Leo.

Gibson will open round three today, Tuesday, May 3. Live scoring will be available through GolfStat.
