The Oak Mountain High School softball team defeated Hoover 4-2 in the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Area 10 softball tournament May 5.

The Eagles scored one run each in the first inning and third inning before adding two insurance runs in the fifth inning in the victory.

Caroline Seitz led Oak Mountain at the plate as she drove in two runs, including an RBI single in the third inning.

Leah Reeve also drove in two runs with her two-run double in the fifth inning. Maddie Ridgeway scored two runs in the win.

Nicole Kehr earned the win in the circle after giving up two runs on three hits with four strikeouts in a complete game.
