The Spain Park High School softball team defeated Mountain Brook 4-0 in the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Area 12 softball tournament May 5.

The Jaguars, who racked up seven hits in the victory, clinched the win with four runs in the bottom of the second inning.

April Scott led Spain Park as she finished 3-for-3 at the plate with two homers and a double. Scott also had a stolen base in the victory.

Amanda Ballew, who drove in one run and scored one run, went 1-for-2 at the plate with a double. Keri Krake finished 1-for-3 at the plate with a double.

Channing Haynes earned the win in the circle after giving up just four hits with two strikeouts and three walks in a complete game.
