The Hope Christian School softball team defeated rival Evangel Christian School 16-7 in high school softball action May 6.

Lindy Walker led the Eagles (15-11-1) as she finished 2-for-3 at the plate with two doubles. Walker drove in two runs and scored three runs in the victory.

Ashleigh Callahan, who drove in three runs and scored three runs, finished 1-for-1 at the plate. Ashley Vann, who drove in two runs and scored three runs, finished 1-for-2 at the plate. Layla Skinner, who drove in one run and scored two runs, finished 1-for-1 at the plate.

Megan Mahan, who drove in one run, finished 1-for-2 at the plate. Amanda Rowley, who scored one run, finished 1-for-2 at the plate. Glennleigh Boyd, who drove in two runs, finished 1-for-1 at the plate.

Hannah Rettig and Tiffany Skinner drove in one run and scored one run each. Samantha Rowley and Sarah Birdsong scored one run each.

Lindy Walker earned the win after giving up four earned runs on five hits with six walks and a strikeout in three innings. Ashley Vann gave up three earned runs on one hit with three walks and two strikeouts in two innings.
