Scott Armstrong, age 40, a resident of Columbiana, lost his long and courageous battle with leukemia on Thursday, May 19, 2011. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Columbiana with Rev. Don Wright, Rev. Lori Carden and Rev. Mike Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Columbiana.

Scott was a member of the Columbiana United Methodist Church, a die-hard Alabama fan, even playing for the Million Dollar Marching Band. He also loved to hunt and fish. Scott loved coaching girls softball and did so while obtaining his Master’s in business at Delta State University.

Scott is survived by his parents, Don and Virginia Armstrong; brother, Shane Armstrong; and numerous other family and friends.
