Mrs. Gladys Mae Norris Jackson, age 86, of Calera made her transition on Monday, May 16, 2011. She was a lifelong resident of Shelby County, and a member of First Baptist Church Calera, where she served on the Deaconess Ministry and Missionary Society. Service of memory was held on Friday, May 20, 2011, at noon at the church. Pastor Willie Patterson officiated; Pastor Roger Shack was the eulogist, with interment in Shelby Memory Gardens.

Her loving survivors are her devoted children; Samuel and Vera Baker; sister, Homer Lee Baker; and grandchildren, Angela McLean and Eddie Caver. Westside Funeral Home Calera directed. Please express condolences at Westsidefunerals.com.
