Bernie Clark Mullins, 70, of Clanton died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.

He was born on Tuesday, December 24, 1940, in Chilton County, the son of the late Jimi Mullins and the late Ida Jones Mullins. He was an insurance salesman.

Surviving are his wife, Jo Ann Mullins of Clanton; two sons, Kendall Mullins of Birmingham and Kent Mullins (Celestie) of Clanton; granddaughter, Clarissa Mullins of Clanton; grandson, Patrick Michael Flynn; sister, Joyce Bice (Jimmy) of Montevallo; and two brothers, Kenneth Mullins (Mary) and Harold Mullins (Joyce).

Friends will be received from 5-8, Saturday, June 4, 2011, at West End Baptist Church. Services will be held Sunday, June 5, 2011, at 2 p.m. at West End Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Martin and Rev. Eddie Lightsey officiating. Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens, Clanton.
